Sarah Taylor is the clinical director and founder of Modern Mind Therapy. Sarah founded Modern Therapy on the principle that quality, mental health care should be accessible to all. Sarah began her career in community mental health services and has practiced as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2016. Sarah received her B.A.

Berkeley and received her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Sarah has extensive experience providing psychotherapy to adults, families, couples, and adolescents in private practice and school-based settings. She is trained in evidenced based practices and utilizes an eclectic approach that's specific to each clients' needs.

Edna began her career in (2008) in community mental health services, working with families in foster care, kinship care, and adoption. Edna’s experience working in the school setting and various social services agencies has honed her skills in Individual, child, couples, and family therapy. She now offers therapy to a diverse range of clients including children, adolescents, parents, families, and couples. Edna is committed to assisting those who courageously seek support, whether they are navigating interpersonal conflicts, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, substance use, foster/adoption, or significant life changes. Edna is recognized for her empathetic, compassionate approach. She excels in building trust and rapport with clients, aiming to create a safe non-judgmental space for clients. Fluently trilingual in Armenian, Farsi, and English, she brings cultural sensitivity and adaptability to her practice. Julie Scudellari is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC 13574) at Modern Mind Therapy, working under the direct supervision of Sarah Taylor, M.A., LMFT. Julie completed her master’s degree in psychology at National University in San Diego, California. She is experienced working with diverse populations, including adolescents and adults. Julie specializes in working with clients who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. Her integrated approach focuses on helping clients improve mindfulness in everyday practice and work toward implementing positive changes in their lives. Rose specializes in working with clients on interpersonal communication, career development, and building self-esteem. For over a decade, Rose has supported young adults, adults, and couples find renewed foundation within themselves and each other. Rose is trained in the modalities of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify feelings, needs, and find clarity within their unique journey. Rose has also published articles on burnout, compassion fatigue, boundaries, and communication have been cited in social work, DEIJ, and career journals and books. Coming from a research background, Rose infuses evidence-based practice into her warm, thoughtful, and client-centered approach. For over 10 years, Angie has worked in the mental health profession with specialized training in trauma-informed care. Angie has focused on working with professionals who are outwardly successful but struggle internally due to unresolved familial trauma or difficulties in forming fulfilling relationships. Angie is passionate about helping clients navigate these challenges, guiding them to overcome barriers that hinder emotional connection and self-compassion. Angie’s integrative approach allows clients to rewrite harmful thought patterns, heal emotional wounds, and find deeper, more authentic connections—both with themselves and others.
In addition to individual, couples, and family therapy, Angie has been a guest lecturer speaking on varying topics ranging from substance use, trauma-informed care, restorative practices, self-care and mindfulness. Therapy with Angie is personalized, evolving as clients heal and grow to ensure they move from merely surviving to truly thriving, living a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.
